Energy at Manchester

From underpinning strategic research to the transfer of technology into the marketplace, the University of Manchester has a range of world-class activities supporting the need for solutions that can play their part in meeting the global energy challenge.

Energy research and teaching is carried out at Manchester across a wide range of areas centred on the themes of energy resources, production, transportation and consumption. Linking these themes are the areas of energy policy, economics and societal impact. Activity based in the Faculties links to the work carried out by the main research institutes.

Energy research and teaching spans across all the faculties, schools and institutes of the University and extends to global partnerships with industry, public bodies and academia. Staff are supported by access to high quality research facilities and a large body of post-doctoral and post-graduate researchers.
